- Look at the breast in the mirror with shoulders straights and arms on hips. Note dimples, soreness, inverted nipples, swelling, rash etc.
- Raise arms and look and feel for any changes
- Look for any sign of fluid.
- Feel breast while lying down with a pillow under your right shoulder, use three middle fingers on your left hand to check your right breast. Press using light, medium and firm pressures in a circle without lifting fingers. Follow an up and down pattern, feel for changes above and below the collarbone as well ass in the armpit. Repeat action on left breast.
- Feel breast while standing or sitting specifically when skin is wet or slippery.
